28mm scale white metal

This listing is for a 1 x Andalusian Captain - Mounted   to lead the groups of riders listed separately or just as a separate iconic command figure

He comes with his own specific great Spanish Horse as shown in the photos.

We've dared to be different with his horse - it comes with a separate rein section . This allows us to replicate the iconic Reconquer designs that add so much flamboyance to the riders ... this glues into two holes on the body  and sticks out to tuck under the figure's  left shield arm .. we've shown photos of how this level of detail then achieved  - you just wouldn't get this in standard casting !... or if you just want the reins to the saddle front for a different rider, then simply clip off the end and glue against the horse's neck .. lots of choices ...but we think the extra little effort leads to a much more striking figure . Check the photos, judge for yourself  :-)

We add a separate little sword-in-scabbard with the model. - Simply glue the scabbard in the position you prefer , to add more realism and a unique pose - we found this so much more lifelike than trying to cast them flat on the bodies  PLUS , then if you choose a Sword Hand for him,  you simply clip off the hilt and glue the empty scabbard in position instead , for more flexibility, realism and detail !

SO, FIRST CHOICE YOU NEED TO SELECT , IS IF YOU WISH YOUR CAPTAIN TO HAVE A  SPEAR OR SWORD  IN HAND .

SECOND CHOICE :  LET US KNOW  IF YOUR RIDER REQUIRES  "STANDARD" RIDER'S SWORD/SCABBARD OR THE "ORNATE" VERSION THAT MAY BE BETTER SUITED IF BUILDING THE  ARAB/MUSLIM/SOUTHERN SPANISH FORCES .

Then to help further with the personalisation and multi-purpose ,  there's a choice of 1 shield included in the unit price :

• a)  1 x Kite shield - plain                                                                                             ( measure 23mm x 10mm so fit many transfers/decals to suit either force )
  
• b)  1 x Kite Shield - patterned                                                                                   ( one random patterned as per photos - more suited to "Christian" forces )
• c)  1 x Almond Shield - plain                                                                                     ( measure 19 x 10 mm - more for "Christian" forces)                       
  
• d)  1 x Round Shield - plain                                                                                      ( just over 13mm diam. so fit many transfers/decals to suit either force ) 
  
• e)  1 x Round Shield - patterned                                                                              ( one random of patterns as per photos , more suited "Muslim" forces )
  

And after all that ! , in a small attempt to move away from plastic, we offer a 2mm mdf base - our own take on the standard 50 x 25mm gaming base , but with rounded corners, so they fit in a standard formation but look better if used stand-alone, or there's a 40mm round version for those using the figures in fantasy/LOTR mode :-)

NB 1 !! : You are buying the unpainted bare metal items as shown in the actual product photo ... they do NOT come with bases unless you select that optional extra.

NB 2 !! : Due to the nature of metal casting, finally assembly may require superglue and probably a small file or drill for making parts fit neatly etc ..... (we say this as standard , but the  hands do fit pretty well)
